New Points Choice Program for Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Loyalty Clubs

If you’re a loyal cruiser with Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, or Silversea, I’ve got some game-changing news for you. Royal Caribbean Group is rolling out a brand-new loyalty feature called Points Choice, and it’s all about giving you more flexibility in how you earn and use your hard-earned points. This program kicks off for sailings departing on or after January 30, 2026, so if you’re planning your next adventure, this could supercharge your status across brands. Let’s dive into what this means, how it works, and why it’s a big deal.

What is Points Choice?

Points Choice is the next evolution in Royal Caribbean Group’s loyalty system. It builds directly on their existing Loyalty Status Match program (launched back in May 2024), which already lets members enjoy equivalent tier status across all three brands: Royal Caribbean’s Crown & Anchor Society, Celebrity Cruises’ Captain’s Club, and Silversea’s Venetian Society.

Now, with Points Choice, you can earn points on any sailing with one of these brands and choose to apply them to the loyalty program that suits you best – no matter which ship you’re on.

Imagine sailing on a luxurious Silversea voyage but wanting to boost your Crown & Anchor status for that next big Royal Caribbean family cruise. Or maybe you’re a Celebrity fan but eyeing Silversea’s ultra-luxury perks. This program lets you direct your points where they matter most to you, making it easier to climb tiers faster and unlock better benefits like priority boarding, free drinks, or exclusive events.

How Does It Work?

The process is straightforward and guest-friendly:

1.  Earn Points as Usual: You’ll continue earning loyalty points (or “VS Days” for Silversea) based on your sailing – factors like the number of nights, stateroom category, and whether you’re traveling solo all play a role.  No changes there.

2.  Choose Your Program: After your cruise ends, you have up to 14 days to decide where to apply those points. You can stick with the brand you sailed on (no action needed), or transfer them to one of the other two programs.

3.  Submit Your Request: Starting January 30, 2026, you’ll access a simple request form via the Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, or Silversea app or website. Just select your preferred loyalty program, and you’re set. Later in 2026, a preference center will launch, allowing you to set a default choice for all future sailings.

4.  Processing Time: Expect your points to update within 30 days after submission. And remember, you must already be enrolled in the target program to transfer points there – enrollment is free and easy through their apps or sites.

Important note: Points from sailings before January 30, 2026, can’t be transferred. Also, this doesn’t apply to casino programs, credit card rewards, or certain promotional points like Celebrity’s Power Up or Go Green points.

Why This Matters for Cruisers

This isn’t just a tweak – it’s a loyalty overhaul. If you’ve been loyal to one brand but curious about the others, Points Choice removes barriers. Reach Diamond status on Royal faster by crediting Celebrity points, or build Venetian Society days without committing solely to ultra-luxury sailings. It’s perfect for families mixing mass-market fun with upscale escapes, or solo travelers maximizing bonuses (Celebrity doubles points for solos, Royal adds extra).

Plus, it complements the Status Match: Once you hit a tier on one, it matches across all three automatically.

Tiers align like this (simplified):

• Gold (Royal) = Classic (Celebrity) = 1 VS Day (Silversea)

• Platinum/Emerald (Royal) = Select (Celebrity) = 100 VS Days

• Diamond (Royal) = Elite (Celebrity) = 250 VS Days

• And so on up to Pinnacle/Zenith/500+ VS Days.

Get Ready to Set Sail

If you’re booked for a 2026 cruise or beyond, mark your calendar for January 30. Head to the official sites for Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, or Silversea to enroll in all programs and review the full exchange rates. This program is set to make cruising more rewarding than ever – whether you’re chasing sunsets on Icon of the Seas, sipping cocktails on Celebrity Edge, or exploring remote ports on Silver Muse.
